Join us as a Principal Product Manager to share market intelligence and infulence product strategy. Drive competitive positioning, identify growth opportunities and collaborate globally with R&D to identify new product opportunities.

 

Your role

  • Lead the market intelligence strategy for Dynatrace, covering observability, AIOps, security, and AI infrastructure. 
  • Track and analyze developments in adjacent markets.
  • Deliver regular executive briefings that connect market shifts with strategic opportunities for Dynatrace R&D teams. 
  • Integrate customer, field and analyst feedback into market analysis to create a unified intelligence loop that reflects real-world challenges and innovation priorities. 
  • Partner with R&D to identify new product and platform opportunities based on ecosystem and technology evolution. 
  • Provide guidance on competitive positioning, go-to-market focus, and long-term technology bets aligned with Dynatrace’s vision of intelligent observability. 
  • Passionate about the software delivery lifecycle, including the corresponding acquisition of observability and security data.
  • Creating compelling narratives for target personas.
  • Ensuring consistent competitive positioning and identifying opportunities for impactful product launches.
  • Living, supporting, and developing the Dynatrace values and culture.

What will help you succeed

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience in a B2B environment, with prior success in setting product strategy and executing it based on research, data, and industry trends

Preferred requirements

  • Several years of experience in in software product domains and strong expertise in observability, application performance management, and AIOps markets. 
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and emerging trends in AI/LLM workloads. 
  • Demonstrated ability to turn market and customer insights into strategic recommendations that influence product or R&D direction. 
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills able to distill complex insights into simple, compelling narratives for executive audiences. 
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, balancing short-term insights with long-term strategic vision. 
  • Experience collaborating across product, engineering, field, and marketing organizations in a global environment. 
  • Profound knowledge in doing market research, competitive analysis and positioning.

Compensation Data

DOE, salary $176K - $220K, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience/education and location.
