Dynatrace OneAgent collects critical metrics spanning hardware, operating systems, and application processes—ensuring 100% visibility into customers' application-delivery chains. Today, over 7 million Java Agents are deployed globally, monitoring mission-critical applications and platforms.

This is an opportunity for experienced engineers to take on an impactful role that combines hands-on development with leadership growth.

Your Role as a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

· Design, develop, and enhance performance and availability monitoring solutions in Java

· Work primarily with Java, with some exposure to C++

· Analyze and deeply understand common frameworks, debugging and investigating their inner workings

· Develop high-performance algorithms and work with cutting-edge technologies

· Independently design and implement new features (Feature Ownership)

· Collaborate closely with local and international development teams

Your Role as a Team Captain:

Alongside your engineering work, you will play a crucial role in fostering the growth of your team:

· Guide and mentor engineers while remaining involved in hands-on development

· Conduct 1:1 feedback sessions to support team members’ growth and development

· Empower teammates to take on more responsibilities in their technical journeys

· Advocate Dynatrace’s engineering culture, promoting its values and principles

What will help you succeed

· Several years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java (C++ experience is a plus)

· Strong knowledge of Java core packages, third-party libraries (Spring, Kafka, Apache, etc.) and application servers (Tomcat)

· Deep understanding of Java Virtual Machine (JVM) internals

· Proven experience in mentoring and supporting other engineers

· A passion for high-performance development and system optimization

· The ability to focus on technical details while maintaining a big-picture perspective
