Financial Accountant

Your role at Dynatrace

The Financial Accountant is ultimately responsible for the final Trial Balances for several European entities managed by the EMEA Finance Shared Service Centre. Working as part of a wider accounting team, this person will be responsible for the monthly reporting to the group, preparation of annual financial statements and providing support to internal and external auditors, amongst other responsibilities. They must be proactive and deadline driven, demonstrate strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

This role is a remote position. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

This role works closely with other EMEA Senior Accountants, Accounting Managers, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Tax to ensure Dynatrace’s books and records are accurate and compliant with both US and local GAAPs.

 

  • Timely preparation of annual financial statements, including tax calculations, while working with local advisors, corporate and local auditors
  • Ensuring group reporting as per corporate deadlines, including analysis of accounts and the production of variance commentary
  • Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Production of monthly cash flow forecast
  • Liaison with all members of the Shared Services Centre in the UK and US for solving ad-hoc
  • Work with the EMEA Tax team to coordinate and manage local tax audits, VAT and tax return filings
  • Execute and maintain internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with SOX requirements
  • Business partnering to gain knowledge for more accurate monthly reporting and forecasting
  • Evaluate financial data to uncover patterns, discrepancies, and areas for enhancement, contributing to ongoing initiatives focused on process optimization and standardization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial reporting

What will help you succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACA, ACCA, CPA, Swiss Fachausweis in Rechnungslegung und Controlling preferred)
  • 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a public company and/or software company
  • Good understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
  • Excellent verbal and written English and German communication skills required, must be comfortable connecting with and communicating with individuals at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with audit processes and working with internal and external auditors

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Experience of NetSuite ERP advantageous
