Description:

Your role at Dynatrace

You’ll be part of the Strato Design System team, working on the foundational layer that powers the Dynatrace Platform. We're currently looking for two Product Experience Designers who will play a key role in shaping the future of our system:

  • A data visualization expert with a strong design system background who will mainly design new chart features, chart components, and improve how users interact with data.
  • A design system allrounder with a solid technical know-how and a strong sense of visual design who will help us evolve our libraries, tooling setup, and visual language.

Please let us know in your application which of these areas you feel most aligned with.

As part of the design system team, you will:

  • Develop and refine Strato components, patterns, principles, and libraries.
  • Work closely with the Strato Design System designers to ensure consistency and efficiency across our products.
  • Create and maintain documentation, mockups, and presentations that clearly communicate our design decisions and provide specifications that support adoption.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to ensure the system meets stakeholder needs.
  • Advocate for the design system across the Dynatrace organization, offering guidance and support to teams using it.
  • Continuously improve the system based on feedback, new trends, and evolving design patterns.

What will help you succeed

  • 5+ years of UX/UI design experience, with a focus on design systems, component libraries, and enterprise software.
  • A solid understanding of interaction design, visual design, data visualization and prototyping from low to high-fidelity.
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality design work and documentation.
  • A proactive team player mindset and excellent communication skills, able to give and receive feedback openly and constructively.
  • Experience in working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Being comfortable with iterative design and adapting quickly to changing requirements.
  • Excelling at organizing and structuring complex information, and experience in driving topics from inception to completion.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining Figma libraries.
  • Solid presentation skills and articulating design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Passion for creating accessible designs and designing for diverse user groups.
  • Coding or technical knowledge that helps you collaborate with engineers and understand design implementation.
  • Experience with pattern libraries and documentation is a significant advantage as we're looking to strengthen our expertise in this area.

When applying, please provide a link to an online portfolio showing only 1 or 2 complex projects focused on design systems of complex software products. Showcase the outcomes and explore the challenges or business needs addressed. Describe your role and responsibilities in those projects, emphasizing the strategies and processes used to develop solutions and navigate complexities. We're interested in your experience with digital software products and systems at the enterprise level, including B2B, SaaS, and desktop software projects. Avoid including mobile or B2C project examples
