Sr Product Experience Designer (m/f/x) - Dashboards and Notebooks

Your role at Dynatrace

You'll join the Dashboards and Notebooks team, designing the core experiences that transform complex observability data into clear, actionable insights for hundreds of thousands of users. From SREs investigating incidents to executives monitoring business metrics, you'll shape how they query, visualize, and act on data.

In this role, you will:
  • Dive deep into complex data visualization challenges, collaborating closely with product managers, design peers, and engineers to shape the future of how users interact with observability data.
  • Own and design scalable, elegant end-to-end experiences for dashboard creation, customization, and sharing, as well as notebook-based exploration that blends queries, visualizations, and documentation.
  • Contribute to the Strato Design System.
  • Balance flexibility with simplicity, creating experiences that empower power users while remaining accessible to those new to observability.
  • Design intuitive interactions for complex tasks: building queries, configuring visualizations, filtering across dimensions, templating dashboards, and collaborating through notebooks.
  • Explore and design AI-assisted features that help users discover insights more quickly.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to inform design decisions.

What will help you succeed

  • 6+ years designing and shipping digital software products, with a track record of iterating based on user feedback. Experience with enterprise software or an engineering background is a plus.
  • Strong foundation in UX and visual design, with the ability to move fluidly between low and high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Experience designing for web platforms and prototyping dev-ready interactions in tools like Figma.
  • Excellent communication skills: You can articulate design rationale and help others understand complex design problems.
  • Passion for user research and usability testing: You synthesize feedback into actionable changes and evolve products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Collaborative mindset: You adapt to feedback from users and stakeholders, and in turn, build better products.
  • Commitment to accessibility: You design beautiful experiences that work for everyone.
