In Licensing, our teams own microservices within their domains, hosted in the cloud and orchestrated via Kubernetes. Our tech stack includes the latest versions of Java, Kafka, and Jetty, supported by tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, Gradle, and Terraform. We store data in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and the Dynatrace data lakehouse, Grail. Automation ensures our libraries are always up to date.
This role is designed for a Software Engineer with a strong people leadership foundation and a desire to evolve into a Team Captain. You’ll start by contributing hands-on to our platform and gradually take on more people leadership responsibilities within a development team.
Responsibilities :
- Care about collaboration, knowledge sharing, motivation, and performance within the team.
- Mentor team members and help them along their growth path in Dynatrace, empowering them to take on more responsibilities.
- Advocate for Dynatrace’s culture, promoting its values and principles within the team.
- Partner with your team captain and manager to step into greater responsibilities over time.
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices for our account, subscription and usage-tracking platform.
- Develop functionalities to oversee account lifecycle and subscriptions, track and report usage, offer insights into costs and product utilization, and enable control over feature usage.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and performance of the software.
- Take ownership of your services and features and fully utilize Dynatrace to monitor and optimize your applications.
What will help you succeed
- Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience in software development.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development or a comparable programming language.
- First experience and strong passion for leading and mentoring software engineers, fostering both technical excellence and professional growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative and motivational team member with a proactive approach.

Compensation and Rewards
- We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.
- Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 65,000 gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
