Your role at Dynatrace

The Equity Analyst is responsible for supporting the day-to-day administration of the company's equity compensation programs, including stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), and the employee stock purchase plan (ESPP). Reporting directly to the Director, Executive & Equity Compensation, this role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate participant records, processing equity transactions, and ensuring employees receive timely, clear information about their equity benefits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Equity Program Administration

  • Assist in the administration of stock option plans, RSUs, ESPP, and other equity-based compensation programs under the guidance of the Lead Equity Administrator.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant records, including grant details, vesting schedules, and transaction history in the equity management platform (E*TRADE).
  • Process equity transactions—including stock option exercises, RSU vesting events, and ESPP purchases—accurately and within required timelines.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Support regulatory reporting and compliance filings (e.g., Form 4, 10-K, 10-Q) in coordination with the Legal and Finance teams.
  • Assist with SOX control documentation and audit support as directed by the Lead Equity Administrator.
  • Monitor and flag compliance issues or transaction discrepancies for timely resolution.

Employee Support & Communications

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries related to stock plan details, including vesting schedules, tax implications, and transaction procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute equity plan communications to employees in a clear and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure seamless administration of equity programs and accurate payroll tax withholding.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with external equity plan vendors and service providers to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Support the coordination of grant approval processes, including documentation and communications to employees and management.
  • Assist in special projects related to global equity plan expansion, system improvements, or process enhancements as needed.
  • Opportunities to support other areas of compensation, including executive compensation and broad-based initiatives, as needed.

 

This is a remote eligible position. Candidates within a 45-mile radius of Boston, MA; Detroit, MI; or Denver, CO will be required to work hybrid (2 days per week) from the nearest Dynatrace office.

What will help you succeed

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in equity compensation, stock plan administration, financial services, or a related administrative role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with equity compensation regulations, including IRC Section 409A, SEC reporting requirements, and equity tax implications.
  • Experience with equity management platforms (E*TRADE preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with formulas like SUMIFS and VLOOKUPS, is a must.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex equity concepts to employees in accessible language.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a customer service mindset.
  • Interest in or progress toward Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation is a plus.
  • Exposure to global equity compensation plans or cross-border tax considerations is advantageous.
  • Public company experience preferred.

Compensation and Rewards

DOE, salary $76K - $95K, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience/education and location.
