Payroll Specialist, India
Your role at Dynatrace
Reporting to the APAC Payroll Lead, the Payroll Specialist, India will be responsible for the coordination of payroll processing operations for the India market using an outsourced payroll model with Cloudpay. Posessing strong knowledge of India Payroll and Regulations,
this role works closely with the APAC Payroll team members and the broader Finance and HR teams. The right candidate for this position is a team player and is required to have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day running of the assigned pay groups, ensuring payroll calendars and deadlines are met. SME of India market Payroll
- Liaise with internal HR partners to collect and organize payroll data before preparing templates for submission to 3rd party providers. Ensuring a thorough understanding of data
- Partner closely with the P&C team to ensure all inputs for contractual changes and any variable input are confirmed, included within agreed KPIs
- Process full & final settlements, leave encashments and gratuity calculations
- Supports the payroll lead with the related operations for APAC region in an outsourced environment
- Provide support and handle escalations in a timely manner, managing internal and external stakeholders effectively in the process
- Assist with handling queries from employees, internal partners and vendors
- Ensure timely payments of statutory dues such as PF, ESI, Professional Tax, TDS, Gratuity and Labour Welfare Fund
- Participates in Payroll year-end activities. Monthly reconciliation of Tax Authorities and Compliance end-of-year requirements ensuring statutory reporting requirements are met
- Assist with reporting requests from the business, prepare documentation and updates of Payroll policies and procedures
- Carry out ad hoc tasks as requested to support the team
What will help you succeed
What we’re looking for:
- Sound working knowledge of India Payroll
- At least 5 years’ experience of processing End to End India payroll, previous exposure to other countries in the APAC Region would be beneficial
- Experience with outsourced managed payroll environments, specifically Cloudpay
- Experience of processing stock compensation is desirable
- Solid functional knowledge, commensurate with level, including understanding of payroll processes and regulations
- A proven, customer driven attitude towards employees of all levels
- Deadline driven with excellent attention to detail and a self-starter
- Capable of working independently, as a member of the team, and in partnership with vendors
- Strong organisational and time management skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Uses initiative to solve problems, questions the why and how
- Strong knowledge of Excel
