The Opportunity

We're seeking an exceptional Principal Technical Product Manager to join our Business Insights team and lead the pioneering development of next-generation Business Insights applications within the Dynatrace platform ecosystem, focusing on Data & AI products. You’ll define and drive the strategy for data and AI capabilities that power analytics, intelligent automation, and the overall Business Insights service offering. You'll bridge data science innovation with product delivery, ensuring that every model, platform, and feature translates into measurable customer and business value.

 

Role responsibilites:

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Insights data and AI products, ensuring alignment with company priorities and customer outcomes.
  • Partner with data scientists, engineers, and architects to transform AI/ML prototypes into scalable, production-ready capabilities.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business narratives and decision frameworks.
  • Define success metrics, track adoption and performance, and continuously iterate based on evidence and feedback.
  • Communicate strategy, progress, and results to executive and stakeholder audiences, influencing investment decisions.
  • Champion ethical, reliable, and privacy-aware design of data and AI solutions.
  • Explore emerging technologies and industry trends to keep Business Insights' position as an innovative team and push Dynatrace competitive advantage.
  • Participate in technical conferences and industry events as a thought leader.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • 10+ years of product or technical leadership in data platforms, ML systems, or AI-driven products.

Preferred Requirements

  • Proven ability to define and deliver data-centric products at enterprise scale.
  • Deep understanding of data engineering, AI model lifecycle management, and observability tools.
  • Strong fluency in translating technical depth (SQL, APIs, pipelines, ML workflows) into customer and business value.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder alignment skills.
  • Strategic and visionary mindset paired with hands-on product execution discipline.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong background in observability, monitoring, or analytics platforms.

  • This is a hybrid role in principle, but can be fully remote for employees living far from our hubs
  • Open to candidates in the EMEA region with a preference for major tech hubs
  • Domestic and international travel for in-office collaboration, conferences, and team meetings (approximately 10-20% of time)
  • English is the primary working language
